One of the highest callings we can strive to fulfil is to make our world a better place. There are many ways to accomplish that goal and one particularly valuable approach is to develop solutions to existing or future problems. Entrepreneurs are the skilful visionaries that develop these solutions for a living, however, every one of us needs to be able to dream up and implement solutions to our own problems as well as the challenges those closest to us face, even if we’re not entrepreneurs.
Through our entrepreneurship program, we’re helping children develop the imagination, critical thinking, problem solving and creative thinking skills they’ll need to solve any problem life throws at them. And by showing our students how to take an idea all the way from the initial spark through to a viable solution, we’re also training the next generation of entrepreneurs.
Every student who participates in Nenoos Entrepreneurs will develop critical life skills and an entrepreneurial mindset that will benefit them throughout their life regardless of whether they go on to become an entrepreneur.
Entrepreneurs are problem solvers. They see a problem and can’t help but dream up possible solutions. And importantly, they then develop their viable ideas right through to practical solutions that work. This is how we progress as a society and make our world a better place.
But entrepreneurial skills aren’t just important for entrepreneurs, they are critical for all of us if we want to succeed in life. Entrepreneurial skills allow us to manage our personal and business finances and generate solutions to the problems we face on a daily basis. Many entrepreneurial skills are also going to be increasingly important as computers, robots and artificial intelligence complete more of the jobs traditionally filled by people.
So, if we want our children and students to go out into the world as fully functioning adults who can manage their finances, solve their problems and perhaps even solve some of society’s problems, then we need to teach them vital entrepreneurial skills.
There are a wide range of entrepreneurial skills that all kids need whether or not they will become entrepreneurs. These include:
All children also need strong ethical, moral and social values which form a framework for using their entrepreneurial skills to become successful in the workforce and in life.
Our entrepreneurship program teaches all the important entrepreneurial skills. By the end of our Nenoos Entrepreneurs program, our students will have learnt:
We use a student-led, teacher-supported, play-based learning method called MBE, which stands for Mind, Body, Emotion. Our unique, three-dimensional approach to education has been developed by a team of over 200 educational professionals and uses specially designed tools and educational kinesiology (edu-K) to develop our students’ intellect and emotional intelligence and teach these vital life skills.
Our fully qualified teachers gently introduce these concepts to our preschool students using stories and financial games.
Our school-aged entrepreneurial program then builds on these concepts with lots of fun, hands-on activities.
Nenoos Entrepreneurs is suitable for children aged 3 to 13 years.
Our entrepreneurship programs run during academic terms. Students participate in one session per week. Each session runs for 1 hour.
We run Nenoos Entrepreneurs in community facilities and on school grounds. Current locations are listed below. If you can’t find a location that’s convenient to you, get in touch and we’ll let you know when we have enough students to start running sessions in your area. If you’d like to bring Nenoos Entrepreneurs to your school or preschool, let us know.
